The heart of Freedom Center Church has always been to Love God, Love People, and Love to Serve. What that looks like has changed a lot throughout the years. We have been known as “the 4th of July church,” “the church with the big Easter productions,” “the church with the food pantry and baby closet”- the list goes on. More than anything, we want to be a church that loves what God loves and goes in the direction He is leading us. When we embarked on the journey that is Kingdom Builders three years ago, we never would have imagined the incredible ways that God would use us to reach His people. Kingdom Builders has provided marriage counseling to couples on the brink of divorce. It has funded hundreds of thousands of meals for Haitian children. It has helped rescue women and children out of human trafficking and given them the tools to start over. 

You may be asking, “what is Kingdom Builders, anyway?” Simply put, Kingdom Builders is what allows Freedom Center Church to minister to people outside of the walls of our building. Think of it in terms of transportation. The general fund is like a van. It covers the expenses of the church itself- utilities, salaries, mortgage payments, etc. We need a well maintained van in order to be functional. Kingdom Builders is like the gas that determines how far the van will go. Jesus used the contents of one boy’s lunch to feed thousands. Although he could just as easily have created that entire feast out of nothing, he instead chose to partner with a child who gave what he could out of obedience and faithfulness. In the same way, God has given the church the incredible opportunity to partner with Him in reaching the lost and showing them His perfect love. 

Kingdom Builders is comprised of three categories, each having its own list of projects into which Pastor Jim and Dena feel God is leading us to invest. The GLOBAL fund covers things like missionary support, assisting with missions trips, meals in Haiti, and church revitalization. The LOCAL fund assists with causes in our community such as marriage ministries, single moms, and outreach events. The FUTURE fund focuses on the church of tomorrow- Next Gen ministry, camp scholarships, Freedom Center Academy, and paying off building debt. You can find a full list of projects in the project guide below, but you can rest in knowing that every single project has been considered with a great deal of thought and prayer, and every single dollar invested into Kingdom Builders is used to win the lost at any cost that doesn’t cost us our beliefs. We are so thankful for your partnership in this endeavor, and we can’t wait to see how God uses us in 2024. This is Kingdom Builders.
